How do I install the Chrome Extension?

When using PerfecTwin, you may need to install the Chrome recording extension to start recording scenarios.

If this is your first time installing a Chrome extension manually, the process may look unfamiliar—but it only takes a few minutes.

⚙️ How it works

The PerfecTwin Chrome Extension is not installed from the Chrome Web Store.
Instead, it must be downloaded from PerfecTwin and installed manually using Chrome’s Developer mode.

Follow the steps below to complete the installation.

📥 Step-by-step installation

1. Log in to Perfectwin and click the profile icon at the bottom of the left-hand main menu. Then select “Chrome Extension Download”. 

2. Click “Yes” button to download the file, then unzip it.

3. Open Chrome and click More option menu in the top right corner. Hover the over “Extension”​ and click “Manage Extensions”​.

4. Enable Developer mode using toggle​.

5. Select the decompressed extension folder​ and Click “Select folder”.

6. The recording tool has been added to the list of all extensions. If necessary, click Update to see the new extension.
