Variables are automatically created for the fields where values were entered.
This allows you to easily reuse or modify these values later without additional configuration.
Understanding how these Variables are named helps you locate and manage them more efficiently during unit editing.
⚙️ How it works
When PerfecTwin creates a Variable from a recorded input field, the Variable name is determined by the following priority:
Screen Label
If the field has a visible label on the screen, this label becomes the Variable name.Field Description
If there is no Screen Label, PerfecTwin uses the Field Description that appears in SAP F1 Help.Field ID
If neither a Screen Label nor a Field Description exists, the Field ID is used.
This approach ensures that Variable names are as intuitive and readable as possible.
If a Variable with the same name already exists, PerfecTwin automatically applies numbering with parentheses to keep the names unique.
For example:
Order TypeOrder Type (1)Order Type (2)
