1. What is SAP Login Configuration?
SAP Login Configuration defines which SAP credentials, systems, or client environments are used when an automated test runs.
Since different tests require different types of access (roles, permissions, instances), SAP Login settings ensure that each test runs under the correct environment.
This article explains:
- What SAP Login settings are
- How logins interact with test execution
- How to set and configure SAP Login profiles
2. Where to access it
You can configure SAP Login settings from:
Navigation path:
(1)Initial page → Unit Management→ Select the desired unit→ Click “Setting SAP Login”
(2)Initial page → Unit Management→ Select the desired unit→ Hover the mouse over the Test Scenario →Click More Options button “…” →Click “SAP Login Add”
3. Why this is matter
Different tests require different SAP environments and user roles.
Configuring SAP Login ensures:
- Correct permissions: Some tests require administrator access; others require basic user access.
- Correct SAP systems: QA, development, or production-like environments may differ.
- Test reliability: The same test produces consistent results when run with the correct profile.
In short, SAP Login configuration guarantees that every test runs with the right access, reducing failures caused by missing permissions or incorrect system setups.
